I’ve been a big fan of Thomas Frank’s YouTube channel since I did my GCSEs. Back then I used to binge his videos on productivity and defeating procrastination as a form of procrastination that brought on less guilt than anime and Key and Peele sketches.
Now that I’m at university I’ve gotten back into his videos, and have actively been applying his techniques. They’re making a real impact on my uni experience, and my life in general. Along with Cal Newport, he’s one of my teachers for living a full and disciplined life.
Don’t read this book to feel like you’re a good student (don’t be the 16-year-old me) – buy a self-help book if that’s what you’re looking for. Read this if you want to go through the challenge of implementing healthier study habits and getting pointers in the right direction, to figure out the framework that fits your learning style best, along with many useful tools to aid you in your journey as a student.
Yes, learning is a journey. A wise old man once told me that you’re always a student, no matter what age. So best get used to it and hopefully learn to enjoy it!
